The scheduled date, start time, channel number and duration are automatically entered by keying in the code. If you choose VideoPlus PDC operation, the VCR will wait for a special code that will be transmitted just before the programme actually starts. ——————————————————————————————————————— A detailed explanation is given on 394 Main index C4 today Tomorrow Previews

This transmitted code may be sent earlier or later than the billed time if the transmission runs late or early, thus tracking the programme. Some broadcasters don't support this option. If the schedule is moved by more than about five minutes, then the programme will be re→billed and the transmitted code will change as well. ——————————————————————————————————————— A detailed explanation is given on 394 Main index C4 today Tomorrow Previews

Some broadcasters transmit both the old and new code to try to overcome this. The transmitted code is contained in the teletext signal, so good teletext reception is needed for PDC operation. If in doubt about your PDC reliability, get the latest schedule information from teletext, and use timer operation. ——————————————————————————————————————— A detailed explanation is given on 394 Main index C4 today Tomorrow Previews
