P163 CEEFAX 1 163 Thu 02 Dec 19:26/05       INQUIRY LAUNCHED AS HEAD IS SUSPENDED A head teacher has been suspended by school governors over allegations of financial irregularity. David Thorneycroft, head of the Alderman Peel High School in Wells, Norfolk, will now await the outcome of an audit by the education authority. The chairman of governors Rex Hisley, says the school's deputy head Cheryl Crawford, is now in charge. Mr Thorneycroft's suspension will be reviewed once the investigation is completed.
