P698 CEEFAX 1 698 Thu 02 Dec 19:13/11       VCR Date Settings *FINAL UPDATE* 4/9 Some VCRs had shown incorrect dates during the summertime due to technical problems at some BBC regional centres. These were resolved and the BBC is now confident that its data is correct and has been for some considerable time. The clocks are now set to GMT for the winter. Any machines continuing to show problems with date setting must be doing so for a different reason to the one mentioned above. P698 CEEFAX 1 698 Thu 02 Dec 19:24/24       FM aerial installation 5/9 Stereo FM radio sounds almost like a compact disc if you use a good outdoor aerial and have it properly installed. Select a quality, directional aerial of at least 3 elements (rods). More may be required in weak signal areas. Use good quality cabling and take care not to introduce any sharp bends or kinks. Do not crush the cable with tight clips and always fit clean connectors. These should be soldered if possible. If you can, keep the aerial at least 1 metre (3 feet) from other aerials.
