In response, the charity has published a new blueprint of how hospital care for older patients can be improved. Dignity On The Ward — Promoting Excellence In Care, is published with the Orders of St John Trust. It urges hospitals to address the essential care needs of older patients such as help with washing and eating. Shoreham-based Peter Huxtable (48) rescued the yachtsmen after their yacht was thrown off course by severe gales near Brighton, Sussex, on June 2. He receives the RNLI's Thanks Of The Institution, inscribed on Vellum. a Five other crew members, all from Shoreham lifeboat station, also receive Vellum service certificates. The SeniorLink service can be rented for between £2.50 and £5.50 a week — this covers the cost of a response unit plus monitoring charges.
