P356 CEEFAX 1 356 Wed 01 Dec 12:12/16 1/5 Referees have lost the plot. I was at the Rushden & Diamanonds versus Ilkeston FA Cup replay and I couldn't believe what I saw. An Ilkeston player and the referee collided, while both were looking in opposite directions. The referee promptly sent the player off without asking his assistant and sent Ilkeston's manger to the stand. I support R&D and the power has gone toreferees' heads. P356 CEEFAX 1 356 Wed 01 Dec 12:14/4 2/5 Stop this nonsense about David Beckham for Europe's best player now. A great player but not world-class. He has had enough big games to prove his worth but has become strangely lost on his beloved right wing. In the FA Cup Final Scholes ran the show, in Europe's biggest game step forward the second-choice strikers and for his country, nothing. P356 CEEFAX 1 356 Wed 01 Dec 12:17/09 3/5 This is to all those who have jumped on the bandwagon to criticise the England cricket team after the first Test of a five-Test series. This was against one of the best teams in the world and was the first time thenew-look England had played together. All teams, whether in sport or at work, need time to reach their peak. The current team can become a force. They just need to be given time. James Sarkodieh, Southgate Football 302Cricket 340M/Sport 360General 380Rugby 370Golf 330Comp 1 BBC Sport Headlines Main menu
P356 CEEFAX 1 356 Wed 01 Dec 12:11/25 4/5 Fans should not act with so much disgust when players react to the taunts directed at them. Expecting them not to react to the abuse generated from thousands of people is not realistic. If fans don't like the reactions, they shouldn't abuse them to begin with. For once I've got sympathy with Ginola,Beckham and co. Steve Sharpe, Oxford Football 302Cricket 340M/Sport 360General 380Rugby 370Golf 330Comp 1 BBC Sport Headlines Main menu
