From Earth and other satellites we always sei the Sun's equator. Scientists can now study the poles of the Sun for the first time. Its first results show that the magnetic fields of the Sun are not likj the Earth but uniform. Cosmic particles seem to be fewer at the pole due to a more active magnetic field than expected.
