P163 CEEFAX 163 Thu 24 Jan 22:53/10   FO WELCOMES  JAPANESE AID The Foreign Office has welcomed the aid package provided by Japan to the Allied forces in the Gulf War. It was announced today in Japan that the government would give another £4.5bn in addition to £1bn already set aside. A Foreign Office spokesman said he hoped a substantial share of the aid package would be given to British forces.
