P166 CEEFAX 166 Thu 24 Jan 22:59/41   MARLOW FACES THREAT  OF DESELECTION Northampton North MP Tony Marlow faces an attempt by local Conservative party members this evening to deselect him as their candidate for the next election. Mr Marlow made himself unpopular with a some constituency party members by calling for Margaret Thatcher to stand down in the run-up to the Conservative leadership elections in November. Over 50 have signed a motion calling for Mr Marlow to be challenged.
