P173 CEEFAX 173 Thu 7 Feb 21:55/58    The Housj of Lords has upheld the Government broadcasting ban on live speech interviews with terrorists. Fivj law lords dismissed an appeal brought by six broadcasting journalists challenging the 1988 ban imposed by the then Home Secretary Douglas Hurd. The journalists said the ban was an unjustifiable interference with freedom of speech and that editors could be trusted not to encourage terrorists.
