The motion, by Labour MPs Alan Meale and Bob Cryer, calls for a common retirement age of 60 for men and women. The MPs also call for a pension from that age of not less than half the average wage for a couple, and one third for a single person. Other measures the two MPs seek include free health care and prescriptions, and substantial travel concessions for all citizens over the age of 60. 102 Newswatch 180 World news Next News Headlines Politics WorldNews
