P173 CEEFAX 173 Thu 21 Mar 21:03/20 2/2 Labour leader Neil Kinnock has told the Environment Secretary his poll tax review is insufficient and will prompt a Labour motion of no-confidence. The Government was unable to rectify the damage wrought by the poll tax, andleft Labour no other course, he said. Shadow environment spokesman Bryan Gould said the review simply gave the poll tax an extended lease of life. The poll tax's principles remained, he said. There was still a "roof over yourhead tax" and a "tax on the head under your roof", declared Mr Gould. 102Newswatch 198Newsreel Next News Parl'ment Politics WorldNews
