Bob Sinkinson: Dwight Harris and his wife Beverley were found guilty of manslaughter at Nottingham Crown Court after refusing to allow their daughter to be given insulin for her condition. Mrs Harris was given an 18-month sentence, suspended for two years. Described by the judge as stubborn and a zealot, Mr Harris showed no emotion as he was sentenced, but he kissed his wife before he was led away.  Copyright World Flash TV/Radio

Bob Sinkinson: The judge said Dwight Harris had dominated his wife. Mr Justice Tucker said her weakness had led the couple to pursue their own misguided views, which meant that their daughter had not received the proper treatment. That had always been available to them at one of England's finest hospitals, and to suggest that they had been refused treatment was not true, the judge told the court.  Copyright World Flash TV/Radio
