P157 CEEFAX 157 Fri 12 Nov 16:13/15       WORLD  "LITTLE HOPE IN WORLD HUNGER FIGHT" Little progress is likely in fighting hunger around the world by the year 2010, a UN report has said The UN Food and Agriculture Organisation said food production would outpace population growth. But it predicted that hunger would persist in developing countries and worsen in sub-Saharan Africa. The FAO study suggested that the best way to fight poverty, the main reason why undernutrition persisted, would be to increase agricultural production.  Next News Despatch Flash TV/Radio
