P193 CEEFAX 193 Fri 12 Nov 16:14/14   1/2     DESPATCH  Leo Enright reports on the Irish Supreme Court's decision to cut sentences imposed on a child rapist The 30-year-old man was jailed in Dublin two years ago after he admitted 12 charges of raping three young girls over a six year period. The victims were aged from six to 12 years. The man cannot be named but two of the girls were his nieces and the other was a neighbour's child. He had originally been sentenced to 12 concurrent life terms by a judge who said society must be protected.  Copyright World Flash TV/Radio
P193 CEEFAX 193 Fri 12 Nov 16:12/17   2/2     DESPATCH  Leo Enright reports on the Irish Supreme Court's decision to cut sentences imposed on a child rapist There has been a storm of protest over the Court's decision to reduce the original sentence of 12 concurrent life terms to 15 years in jail. The director of Dublin's Rape Crisis Centre said there was no knowing when this man might be free again.
