P118 CEEFAX 118 Fri 19 Nov 16:23/13 HOME IMPROVEMENT IN NON-EC TRADE DEFICIT Britain's trade gap with countries outside the European Community fell to £293 million in October, according to Government statistics. The figure compares with a gap of £921 million in September and is lower than City expectations. Other figures confirm that the economy grew by 0.6% in the summer quarter and was 1.9% bigger than in the corresponding quarter of 1992.
