He is set to take over from Jan Aage Fjortoft to partner Andy Mutch. Leeds welcome back Gordon Strachan to the squad at Tottenham. He has been sidelined with a knee ligament injury. John Pemberton makes his debut in place of Jon Newsome, who has bruised kidneys. Manchester City have midfielder Kare Ingebrigtsen, back from a loan spell in Norway, in the squad for the game at Norwich. Ryan Giggs may be on the bench. Oldham's Norwegian signing Tore Pedersen will make his debut in the match at West Ham along with goalkeeper Gary Walsh. Striker Andy Ritchie also returns to the squad. Southampton await fitness reports on Peter Reid and Micky Adams prior to the game with Blackburn.
