P118 CEEFAX 118 Fri 26 Nov 16:24/12 HOME 500 JOBS SAVED AT TWO DAF PLANTS Five hundred jobs have been saved at Daf plants in Glasgow and Leyland in Lancashire. A new company, to be called Albion Automotive, has been formed in a £12 million package combining the two plants. The 500 workers have accepted a 5% pay cut and special working arrangements to make sure the company runs smoothly. The Scottish Office and the Bank of Scotland are funding the buy-out.
