In the same period, the total wage bill for nurses in Wales has only gone up by one-fifth. A judge at Cardiff Crown Court said they were guilty of "vicious, evil and wicked acts." Venita Bailey, 25, from Grangetown was jailed for eight years for forcing four girls into vice and falsely imprisoning a girl, 14. They were joined by members of the Snowdonia National Park committee at Gerlan near Bethesda. Local objectors were also invited to the site. They argue the plan would damage one of the most beautiful areas of Snowdonia. Anthony Stock, from Llandrindod Wells, emigrated after serving six years in prison, but has since returned to the town. He has always claimed he was innocent and his case was taken up by the campaign group Justice. Police are currently making inquiries about the incident at Llangatwg Comprehensive School in Neath. A post-mortem examination will be carried out today. Rajvinder Singh, aged two, was hit by a motorcycle, being ridden along a pavement in Clive Street, Grangetown at 5.30pm last night. She is "stable" in Cardiff Royal Infirmary with head injuries. Freight services to Aberthaw Power Station have been cancelled after National Power refused to pay BR £80,000 for repairs. They claim the work can be done for half the price but the terminal track is now "unsafe."
