"I believe that together we can return from Oak Hill (in 1995) with the Ryder Cup back in European hands," Gallacher added. Snooker R/Union Cricket Football
P321 CEEFAX 321 Fri 26 Nov 16:24/56 GOLF: GALLACHER WANTS TO BE A WINNER 2/3 Bernard Gallacher admitted that the thought of being remembered as a loser had played on his mind after accepting the Ryder Cup captaincy. The 1995 match will be his third in charge of the European team after defeats at Kiawah Island in 1991 and The Belfry two months ago. "I would not be telling the truth if I didn't admit that the thought of going out having lost the Ryder Cup had a bearing on my decision.
