P158 CEEFAX 158 Fri 10 Dec 16:22/23       WORLD  IRISH ARREST 4 AFTER MORTARS FOUND Police in the Irish Republic have foiled an IRA plan to launch a cross-border attack on the security forces in Northern Ireland. Four men were arrested following the discovery of four mortars in a car in the border town of Letterkenny, County Donegal. The weapons were fully primed with warheads and of the type previously used for attacks on UK security forces, a police spokesman said.
