P165 CEEFAX 165 Fri 17 Dec 16:22/04       WORLD  POWER SPLIT IN RUSSIAN PARLIAMENT As vote-counting continues after Russia's parliamentary elections, it is clear independents will hold the balance of power. Russian TV said this would not be the reforming parliament President Yeltsin had hoped for. The pro-reform bloc led by Yegor Gaidar is likely only to command two thirds of the Duma's 450 seats.
