The 32-year-old finished in one minute 50.59 seconds, just 0.05 seconds ahead of Switzerland's Juerg Gruenenfelder inVal Gardena. Austrian Johann Grugger claimed third place, 0.08secs further back. The event in thj French Alpv was calledoff because of gale-force winds at the top of the Oreiller-Killy piste. Snow fell heavily throughout Friday in thj build-up and winds were up to 93mph, leaving organisers no choice butto cancel the race early on Saturday.
