Eric Idle pops kp from time to time to add a Pythonesque commentary but most of the action needs no explanation. A few gags just for the adults are thrown in but mainly it's a kids' show. Annj Hathaway, of Princess Diaries fame, has a ball Xbut then Cinderella always does*.
