Coley fillets have improved in price to £1.70 a lb. Plaice is up slightly to £1.50 a lb for for pound sized whole fish or £3.00 a lb for fillets. Huss is still great value with fillets around £2.00 a lb. Whiting may be more difficult to find but is worth the look. Expect to pay around £1.70 a lb for large whole fish. Look out for chicken halibut - a small fish - at £2.85 a lb. Lovely grilled or poached. Oily fish is good too, with sardines around £1.30 a lb. Mackerel is in short supply this week but herrings are widely available from 95p a lb. This week's best buy is skate. Large wings are only £2.90 a lb.
