P297 ORACLE 297 Sun12 May ANG 2051:28 National Transcommunications 2/3   NICAM DIGITAL STEREO  On most NICAM televisions and video recorders a pilot light (sometimes marked 'stereo') or on screen indicator shows that a NICAM signal is being transmitted. The programme itself may be either stereo or mono although the indicator will remain on continuously. Equjpment may also have additional indicators which are related to features of the system not yet in use. All programmes that are transmitted in stereo are marked in TV Times and on Oracle pages 213 and 217 on ITV and pages 414 and 415 on Channel 4.
