P108 ORACLE 108 Fri20 Dec ITV 1736:56   PLEA TO MYSTERY WOMAN  AFTER POLICEMAN SHOT Detectives hunting two gunmen who shot a policeman have appealed for a woman who spoke to the men to come forward. The woman drew the attention of Sgt Alan Jones, 35, in a marked police car with his colleague Sgt Ian Roberts, to two men in a blue Ford Sierra. Sgt Jones was shot by one of the men when he approached them. The incident is being treated as attempted murder. The appeal was made as Sgt Jones, of Hertfordshire, recovered from a second operation in the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel, East London.
