P262 ORACLE 262 Sun22 Dec ANG 1916:57   2/3      Charles Metcalf's  Christmas punch..2 QUANTITIES FOR TWO: Proportions of ingredients should be 10 to one wine of cider to brandy or rum and 25 grams of sugar for every litre of wine or cider. Eg: 1 litre dry cider, 10cl rum, 25g demerara sugar, 2 cloves, cinammon, nutmeg, one apple quartered and cored. And: 1 litre red wine, 10cl brandy, 25g sugar, 2 cloves, cinnamon, half a lemon, one orange, both sliced. Add sugar to the wine or cider and heat gently. Don't boil. P262 ORACLE 262 Sun22 Dec ANG 1914:57   3/3      Susan Brooks'  party nibbles INGREDIENTS: 8 slices crustless bread; 4oz butter; 2 garlic cloves crushed; 30ml pesto sauce; 225g prawns defrosted; parsley/basil. METHOD: Pre-heat oven to 200C/400F/GM6. Flatten bread and cut each slice into four triangles. Melt butter in pan, add garlic/pesto. Rinse prawns, dry. Brush both sides of triangles with pesto mix. Put two prawns in centre of each, fold in half.
