In the Selby coalfield, four miners have been circulating a petition in local villages asking for signatures from miners prepared to return to the Wistow pit, opened less than a year agoIn South Yorkshire, men at the Manton colliery say they have forced an emergency branch meeting on Friday which will hear demands for a return towork. The NCB says 43 pits worked normally today with 121 still on strike.
