P204 CEEFAX 204 Tue 15 May 21:01/34 The 16 Britons and the Portuguese wife of one of them, who were held by UNITA guerrillas in Angola, returned to London this morning. They were led from the aircraft by Foreign Office special envoy Sir John Leahy, who had negotiated their releasewith UNITA leader Dr Jonas Savimbi. The group looked tired, but relieved to be home after their ordeal. They were seized on February 23 by rebel forces in north-eastern Angola and were forced to travel across 300 miles of dense bush to rebel-held territory. News index 102/202 Newsreel 119/219
