P218 CEEFAX 218 Tue 15 May 21:12/38 Two arthritis drugs are to be withdrawn because of their side effects, the Health Minister said today. The drugs are painkillers called Tandacote and Tanderil. The move follows a report by the Committee on Safety of Medicines. It expressed concern over the effects of the drugs, which have been associated wijh nearly 600 deaths.
