Electronic credits on the card are subtracted according to the time parked. Thefts from meters and motorists' search for coins would be avoided. The Nissan 300 ZX Turbo, said to be Japan's fastest car, is on sale in Britain at £16,996. The 300 ZX uses a V6 engine which delivers 228bhp, and has a claimed top speed of 155mph. P263 CEEFAX 263 Tue 15 May 21:21/18 2/4 Edited by Ian Royce O A motorway relief road to by-pass "spaghetti junction" linking the M5 and M6 between Birmingham and Wolverhampton has been announced by the Transport Department. The 26-mile road will have two, three-lane carriage -ways and construction is due to start in about 1990. Toyo Kyogo of Japan has changed its name to the one by which its products are best-known - Mazda. The first Mazda appeared in the 1930s, and the company now follows Toyota, Nissan and Honda in the vehicle-building league in Japan. More

But confusingly, the old system still applies at some roundabouts in France. These are signposted in advance. VW has returned to profits after two years of big losses. Sales in the US boosted the recovery, but Latin American Nperations continue to make a loss. The VW chief in West Germany said the strike by metalworkers in his country could hit VW's recovery. More
