BLACKCAP An influx of migrant birds occurred between April 14 and April 27.This was quite different from last year's steady flow. A marked increase in sightings occurred from April 7, peaking during April 14 and April 20. WHEATEAR Reports received this year show a steady stream of sightings from March 17 to April 20. This pattern is similar to that of 1983. LITTLE RINGED PLOVER There were twice as many sightings of this species in 1984 compared with 1983. Peak arrival time was between April 14 and April 20. More

OSPREYS This species returned to its breeding ground in the Highlands in early April, the same time as in 1983. YELLOW WAGTAIL The migration pattern for this species conforms to previous years with an influx between April 14 and April 20. More
