The official Iranian news agency said residents of Basra, Mandali, Sadiya, Khanaqin, Kirkuk, Mosul, al-Amarah, Kut, Baaqouba, Ali Gharbi and Zurbatyiashould leave as soon as pNssible. The death toll in Baneh was reported tobe more than 300. Saudi Arabian jet fighters have shot down two Iranian Phantom F-4 aircraft which encroached into Saudi air space.
