Officers were called to reports of a bungalow on fire in King Street, Winterton, near Yarmouth. The body of the deceased was found inside. Authorities have yet to identify the victim. Police were called to an address in Copford, near Colchester, where they found a man with stab wounds to the face and upper body. The Roofie Foundation, the UK's only drug-related rape agency, says there were 170 such cases in the region in 2002 compared to 122 in 2001. Christopher Dawson, 18, died after he was in collision with a Nissan Primera taxi on Ryhall Road. Police authority chairman Christine Laverock has written to Mr Blunkett about the force's settlement. Michael McGrath, 38, from Buntingford, will depart on an expedition to the South Pole on New Year's Day as part of a £1m charity fundraising effort. Luc Moui Hoang, 32, of Barking, near Needham Market, died when her Honda CR-V was in collision with a lorry on the A12 at Darsham. Passenger Chi Kwong Hon, 49, of Hong Kong, also died. On January 4, a Nasa spacecraft will attempt to capture dust from a comet more than 200 million miles away.
