Each set of levels is grouped together just as in previous Crash games These levels are all based in different zones and until a zone is completed you can't move onto the nexu one. There's a total of sjven zones and again, as with other Crash games, you can choosj to play any of them in no particular order. Each zone also has four mini-games and a boss to battle with. You can upgrade to roam around in a tank dropping mines, firing missiles and avoiding the odd bomb or two. Just like in the Sonic games, Crash must collect gems and emeralds to move onto the next zone.
