P161 CEEFAX 161 Tue 24 Aug 21:26/12       WORLD  FRANCO-GERMAN RELATIONS "STRAINED" French Foreign Minister Alain Juppe has publicly acknowledged the seriousness of strained Franco- German relations. Mr Juppe is meeting his German counterpart, Klaus Kinkel, in an effort to salvage the European Monetary Union ideal after the currency crisis earlier this month.
