P208 ORACLE 208 Tue17 Oct TVS 1942:42 CORONER CRITICISES COUNCIL SUPERVISION West Dorset coroner Michael Johnston has criticised Weymouth Council for sloppy supervision after a drunken harbour-hand was left in charge of the undocking of a Channel Islands ferry. The man, Adrian Gould, later died as he travelled home on his motorcycle to Littlemoor Estate in Wjymouth. He had more than three times the legal limit of alcohol in his blood. Mr Johnston was told that earlier Gould had been out drinking with his chargehand who went home and left him to attend to the ferry. Community 240 Main Index 100 ITN 101OVERSEAS HOLIDAY INDEX 580
