Dear RSVPtv, A few days ago on RSVPtv, someone described Capital City as an excellent yuppie programme. Does this person mean we now have a new category of programmes as in comedy, drama, news, educational, sport and yuppie? I suspect not. What he really means is "soap opera's are okay for you riff-raff but I'm going to watch a programme showing how unlikeable people who work in the city are." And he's welcome to it. P253 ORACLE 253 Tue17 Oct TVS 1946:31  Tuesday  3/7        GOODBYE MR CHIPS Dear RSVPtv, I want to complain about the latest advert for McCain Oven Chips where the children say "Feed Me, Feed Me" to their mother. I think this a really terrible advert for children. When they want food they should say "Please mummy, I'm hungry." I believe this advert is teaching children bad manners and I think it should be taken off the telly. If I had been in the same situation as that man who owned the video shop on the last show, I would have belted him - and I'm not a violent man. It is perfectly possible to have fun without putting people though all the strain and stress that usually goes with an appearance on Beadle's About. The PG Tips advert doesn't really feature chimpanzees at all. It is, in fact, a fly-on-the-wall documentary about my in-laws.  Ellie Fykes, Raleigh, Essex.  Having just watched the film Shogun I am none the wiser about what the film was about.
