Collins' decision to throw in the towelin Brisbane was called "cowardly" and "a disgrace" by co-promoter Bob Arum. Harding, now unbeaten in 16 fights, knocked Collins over in the first roundand a punishing attack late in the second session prompted the retirement.Collins said he was punched in the throat in the first and had been unableto recover but officials withheld his £15,630 purse and cash for TV rights.
