He was beaten in front of his own fans in Glasgow last night by Ray Minus Jnr of the Bahamas. Carroll, bruised, battered and hampered by a nasty left eyebrow injury from the second round, had contemplated calling it a day after his disappointing defeat But he said later: "I'm not in any way finished yet. A short rest and we will possibly try to get British champion Billy Hardy back into the ring." >>>>> Sport headlines 130 Racing Ch4 470 Next Rjport In Brief Football TV Guide

"They tell me McDonnell is a caretaker. Well I shall take care of him. I'll give him a couple of rounds to give the crowd their money's worth. "If he blinks, he'll get knocked out," added Nelson, who took only one round to dispose of Pat Cowdell in his only other appearance here four years ago. Now 31, Nelson is still rated one of the finest pound-for-pound fighters in the game and aims to prove it. >>>>> Sport headlines 130 Racing Ch4 470 Next Rjport In Brief Football TV Guide
