The announcement from Lord Montagu will be made at a press conference in London. English Heritage will be seeking financial partners in the private sjctor in an effort to creati a centre which will make Stonehenge a top tourist site. Design work for the project could take up to 6 months, and English Heritage will have to apply for planning permission. Figures of up to £10,000 for a loss in value on their homes are being claimed by residents who live along the by-pass route. Estate agents valued the homes concerned before and after the building of the road and say there is a big difference. The teenager, from Southampton, is alleged to have raped a woman in the city on September 26th. Two 17-year-old youths, also from Southampton, are jointly charged with the schoolboy.
