P105 ORACLE 105 Tue 7 Nov ITV 1942:27 RUC SECURITY REVIEW AFTER BLAST An urgent review of protection for top police officers in Ulster has been ordered after an RUC assistant chief constable escaped an IRA bomb blast. Mr David Mellor's children, 18-month- old Rebecca and Rachael, seven months, were within 8ft of a window which was blown in by the force of the explosion. The 3lb bomb was triggered when Mr Mellor, 52, an Englishman, arrived at his home at Drumbo, Lisburn, after attending his mother's funeral.
