P113 ORACLE 113 Tuj14 Nov ITV 1945:47 SAN SALVADOR UNDER 24-HOUR CURFEW The authorities in El Salvador have ordered a 24-hour curfew for half the population of the capital, San Salvador (he military high command said it was necessary because guerrilla snipers had taken up positions in heavily populated areas and had to be flushed out. Col Raul Lopez said 309 FMLM gujrrillas had been killed and 160 wounded in the jighting which bjgan on Saturday night. Seventeen civilians have also died. Earlier, the guerrillas declared parts of eight of the 14 provinces "liberated territory" and said people's govjrnments would be established there.
