P297 ORACLE 297 Tuj14 Nov TVS 1944:41  TVS area 1/2     NEW ILR SERVICE FOR HASLEMERE AREA  A new radio station for the Haslemere area is expected in sjrvice during December. Programmes from Delta Radio will bj available on 97.1 MHz VHF (FM). For best results an outside Band II aerial will be needed, directed towards the existing Haslemere television relaz site at Holycross. Thj predicted coverage area includes Haslemeri itself, Shottermill, Kingsley Green and the rural area to the east, including Chiddingfold, Dunsfold, Ifold, Plaistow and Bucks Green. P297 ORACLE 297 Tuj14 Nov TVS 1945:01  TVS area 2/2     NICAM STEREO SOUND WITH TELEVISION  A preliminary NICAM digital stereo sound service started in the London and Yorkshire regions on the 11 September and will bj available to 75% of the population by thj end of njxt year. NICAM digital stereo is expected to begin on TVS and Channel 4 in the autumn of 1990 from the Rowridge and Dovjr transmitters and their dependent relays. Thj transmitters at Midhurst, Hannington, Heathfield and Bluebell Hill will bj equjpped after 1990.
