P139 CEEFAX 139 Fri 26 Feb 21:11/44       POLITICS NEW AVIATION ANTI-TERRORISM PLAN The Government has announced a new initiative to improve aviation security "in the battle to defeat air terrorism". Aviation minister Lord Caithness said the scheme aimed to improve baggage security and airlines would have to account for and authorise all baggage carried in their holds. Airlines would have to put forward their plans for meeting the new requirements by mid-April, he said.
