P379 CEEFAX 379 Fri 26 Feb 21:21/17 YACHTING: BRITISH STEEL CHALLENGE 2/3 Group 4 continues to lead the way as the ten yachts battle through the worst conditions they have yet encountered in the race. Huge waves whipped up by 70 knot winds are demanding precision and some nimble deckwork. Interspray skipper Paul Jeffes said the waves have taken on "the proportions of English downs with the odd Matterhorn thrown in." The winds are laced with ice and British Steel crew member Kevin Duffley warned: "If your skin is exposed you get lacerated." Racing Cricket Football Golf
