The new water-wheel, designed to fit the pit of the original 19th century wheel, has brought the site back to life by using water power. The engineering scheme includes a hydraulic lift which gives access to disabled visitors to the upper levels of the site. Because of the record number of visitors throughout the week, the estate's administrator said that the property would definitely host another snowdrop week next year. Sharon from Newtownabbey, answering 20 questions on the Trust in Northern Ireland, won despite a large number of entries from adults Her priue was a copy of 'Castle Coast & Cottage', a book about the Trust in Northern Ireland.
