He is a backward sort really and it has taken a fair time for the penny to drop. He ran well to finish third at Southwell recently from a bad draw. He will probably win 7f handicaps and I think that you will see a better horse next year after another winter. He is honest and will keep picking up the prize-money. He wants firm ground and I was very disappointed when he ran at Thirsk in May but I needed to look at myself in the mirror after that. I ran him on ground that he hates and he has never got over it. He's a nice individual and I don't know where he will end up but I have a lot of faith in the horse. He is a strong sort and has plenty of substance. Everybody was over the moon with his third place and he seems a wonderful type to have around the place. He is a good eater and has grown into his frame and he has good legs and a big heart. A 3yo taking on the older horses like he did and running so well - you have got to think that he will have a nice time in his racing life. Unfortunately she has got sore shins after running at Ripon on Monday and has gone back to her owners for a rest. Lunch Party came over from the Czech Republic and won a seller at Thirsk last season. He is on a selling plater's mark and that is his level. He runs in a handicap at Pontefract on Tuesday over six furlongs, the same race I have entered Vain Dancer in. There is no question about it, he is a good horse but we have had one or two with a bit of a bug. He's in at Chester on Saturday but we will have to see. It is a shame with one like Hazard A Guess as he is so honest and genuine that he gets really disappointed. His best trip is a stiff ten furlongs and a fast-run race. The horse was second last year in the Zetland Gold Cup and was very unlucky not to win the race. We have taken him out of the big race at York on Saturday (Magnet Cup) because he is just not right. The horse has a great deal of talent and when he is right I have always thought that he could win a race of that particular nature. She is another who will run in lower grades and as a 2yo, the nurseries will probably be the races for her. No Cliches is a horse that has been poorly but he looks a million dollars at the moment and is a very nice sort. Wi will run him in the next ten days and look and see if he has got over the virus he has had. Wi will try him at ten furlongs again.
