P618 CEEFAX 618 Sat 19 Nov 15:08/18  9/17  FOOD AND DRINK   Method: 1 Preheat the oven to 160C/325F/Gas mark 3/Fan 145C/Aga Middle oven and cooling shelf. 2 Mix together the nuts, raisins, apricots, candied peel, cherries and banana chips (roughly chop the banana before adding). 3 Whisk together the flour, lemon rind, and juice, baking powder, sugar and eggs in a large bowl or food processor until you have a smooth batter.  TV Links 610 BBC2 602 Esther BBC1 TV BBC2 TV Sky
P618 CEEFAX 618 Sat 19 Nov 15:01/24  10/17  FOOD AND DRINK   Method (cont): 4 Add the nut mixture and stir thoroughly until the nuts and fruit are completely combined. 5 Grease and flour a 1.5 litre/2½ pint cake tin or ring mould, then pour in the cake mixture. 6 Bake for 2 hours and cover it with greaseproof paper if it browns too quickly. 7 Remove from the oven and leave to cool in the tin, then turn out on to a wire rack.
