They aim to set up a Deaf TV channel. I express full support fMr this prmject. This will give everyone the opportunity to be involved in training and develop their skills tN have a TV career in the new millennium. I am in my mid seventies now but became completely deaf at the age of seven. I went tM a deaf school and regularly attended my local deaf club. I had many deaf friends and was quite popular, still mixing with hearing friends too. P643 CEEFAX 2 643 Wed 01 Dec 13:33/22       7/9 WRITE HEAR: NAME AND ADDRESS SUPPLIED When I married my wife many years ago, I did not feel the need tM visit my deaf club as often, though I still saw a few deaf friends. Gradually, I began to feel less accepted by my fellow deaf, perhaps because I married a hearing woman. My wife al6ays welc-med my deaf friends and was easy to lipread and understand. We last visited the deaf club a year ago because I was being given an achievement award.
